These have certainly been interesting and challenging times, Congratulations to so many of you for persevering with your training through it all! We would like to express our most sincere gratitude to all the parents and students for your unwavering dedication and support during the lockdown procedure. For those who attended classes and endured the ZOOM format, you have performed admirably and did an excellent job getting to this point. For those who were unable to attend, but still sent us messages of continued support, we thank you so much, it meant a lot to us knowing that you were supporting us. And now, our determination and patience has paid off. So it is with great pleasure that we are officially re-opening on Wednesday August 5th commencing a staggered rollout of regular classes at the Dojo while following COVID-19 protocols. This Week Commencing Aug 5th – Black Belts and Kobudo Commencing Aug 10th – Adult Karate Do and Tai Chi Chuan. Commencing Aug 24th – Yoots Commencing Aug 24th or September 08th – Younglings (depending on how the numbers of new infections are progressing in the city). We emphasize that your safety and health is our 1st priority. Therefore, we have implemented several adjustments to ensure the quality of training in a COVID-safe environment as much as possible. This includes : demolition of the Men’s changing room and expansion of the Warm up area to facilitate more students while maintaining physical distancing. Professional cleaning every Day. Disinfecting and steam cleaning in between classes. And much, much more. We will be sending an outline of the new procedures and precautions in next weeks newsletter. ZOOM classes will still be available and the schedule will be adjusted to coincide with the ‘in Dojo’ class times. We have greatly missed having you here, and are very much looking forward to seeing all of you back in the classes continuing your training! We understand that some of you may not be ready to return immediately, so you may continue with the online training for the time being. If you have not attended zoom classes then the time that you missed will be added to you present membership term, even if it expired during the lockdown. So yo have not lost any of your classes. Thank you again for your support and understanding as we adapt to our current government policies regarding COVID-19. We will continue to update you as there will be expected changes going forward.
