If one makes a conscious decision to be healthy as an example, one will eliminate much confusion when looking at all the choices on the menu. The objective here is to take your free will that is easily confused by all the noise and choices we are inundated with daily from the outside and work with a unified will from our higher-mind / heart-mind connection nurtured from the inside where solid conscious decisions can be made that keep you moving forward in the right direction. Training in budo in all its forms, especially karate, enhances that heart-mind / higher-mind connection and I think all would agree you want to make good decisions when defending oneself as a bad choice could be your last choice. Strive to unify the will over a distracted free will that wastes your time and energy as doing this overtime will help you become more and achieve more. The way is in training. Sensei W. M. Platt
