“For those that know the way there are many -

For those who practice the way there are few.”

This is a famous saying in budo credited to the Bodhidarma from ancient China but to me it is amazing how it still applies to today’s students of the martial arts. Hanshi Platt and Renshi Williams - Purple Heaven Temple (Wudang) - Classical Martial Arts Centre - Toronto Central Region - Martial Arts classes offered in Toronto - Adults and Children - Karate-Do, Jiu Jitsu, Self-Defense, Tai Chi Chuan, Chi Gung, Ba Gwa, Iaido, Jodo, Kobudo, Ancient Weaponry, Kali.Budo is meant to enhance one’s life not to replace it yet many train as if they are going to a gym or pool to escape the stress of daily life. Then they go back into that reality and deal with the stress the same way without making any adjustments. A strange truth is that some people are comfortable with their misery and enjoy others as well. A very odd aspect of the human condition indeed. When one bows into the dojo you are quite literally asking the martial arts to help you then the training shows you how you can help yourself; but you will be tested to see if what you think you want is really what you want. Sometimes the only way out is through and self defense is in the end defending oneself from the self when one has doubt or fear. Again the ascension concept of 2012 is not just about the planet it’s about what’s changing inside everyone. The new energy on the planetary grid is affecting you right down to the DNA level. Some great latent abilities are being awakened that increase your potentials and possibilities multifold. Take nothing for granted; know that the things that always happen are the ones you really believe in and the belief is what makes it happen. Believing is a form of seeing. Have a real commitment to excellence. Learn your craft one step at a time; dedicate yourself to the details, grains of sand make mountains, atoms make matter etc.
