Hanshi Platt - CMAC Sensei Wallace Platt, 10th Dan, Hanshi CMAC Founder and Head InstructorThere are no hard times for good ideas. Life gets better when you get better; all that is needed is a little heart and a creative imagination to do constructive work. This was understood even in the ancient times when it was a duty to stay healthy to ensure a clear strong mind. There has never been a time when so many know so little about so much. Especially as it pertains to the self. We are inundated daily with an enormous amount of stimulation and information to the point that most are not even conscious of it. As the great Helen Keller said ‘the only thing worse than being blind is to have sight with no vision’. Time to empty the mind from all the noise and create a vision. From the martial arts perspective the vision starts with simplifying one’s focus in life and direct it to one’s own health, skill and well being. Get a sense of what path you are on and where it is headed with a clear vision of what you want to accomplish. We are meant to stay healthy and fulfill our potential in the process. Avoid negative attitudes as there will always be people who judge, complain and criticize. It’s not what happens to you in life but how you react to it; life is an attitude so best to start with a positive one. In reality it’s ones attitude not aptitude that will determine one’s altitudein life. Through the training one can empty on the inside and harmonize on the outside free of fear, hate, anger and judgements looking to attain a greater understanding of self and the world within which we exist with a vision of peace and tranquility. Illuminate your path with your own inner light towards health and fulfilment.
