January 2014: the year of completion.
Many look forward to the new year for a new start with old habits and usually a New Year’s resolution goes in one year and out the other. Remember, when it looks like there is no way out LOOK UP!
I mentioned through the fall the important of brining meditation to the forefront in one’s life but the question comes up of how to start. In zen the saying goes that when one sits quietly doing nothing spring will come and the grass will grow all by itself. So start by finding a place and time each day to sit quietly, no technology. Simply slow the breath by breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth. Place your middle finger of your brow ie: top of the nose bridge then look up into your forehead with each breath in. This will assist you to achieve an alpha state which is simply a slower brain wave frequency than your normal conscious state. Do this for about thirty seconds and you will settle into a meditative state.
In numerology, 2014 is a seven year which relates to ones divinity. Meditation is a great way to get in touch with your own divine nature where you will access much information about the self; if you are unable to find tranquility within the self you will not find it in the outside world, so start with the concept of ease.
Especially if you are tired and not feeling well. For fast acting relief try slowing down. There is more to life than increasing its speed.
