After six years of hard work and research, today I successfully defended my PhD dissertation titled: “Characterizing Vertebrate Rhodopsin Natural Variation in Evolution, Function, and Disease”.
With how nerve-wracking and stressful the entire process was, taking a moment to mukso and breath before stepping into the exam room made so much of a difference.
My thesis has been accepted with only minor typos and corrections, one of the most ideal results.
And all I can feel in this moment is gratitude.
