As I'm sure you were aware. CMAC training trip in Hawaii was available in February. 22 CMAC members seized the opportunity to go to the Big Island of Hawaii, do Martial Arts training and take in some very memorable sightseeing.  Sensei Platt led Classes at a number of diverse locations such as: Paleaku Peace Gardens, Pu’uhonua O Honaunau National Historic Park, Pu’ukohola Heiau National Historic Site (one of the most significant historical sites in Hawaii), the Black Sand beach (it really was) and at the most southerly tip of the Island (Ka Lae), which is also the most southerly point of the Unites States (further than at Key West which is the most southern of the Continental US). You could google them and see what and where you missed.  There was also time set aside for some spectacular sightseeing and activities. Whale watching, Swimming with the Dolphins, Akaka Falls, Hapuna Beach, Pololu Valley Lookout  and a trip down 107 feet below the surface of the water in a submarine! Plus there was individual or small group free time for various other things to see and do.  So all in all it was a great time. Trips like this are available and while not everyone is able to attend every trip, they are wonderful opportunities to train in different places and see more of the world. So of course this is a great time to remind you of two things: Train hard and keep your CMAC Membership current!
